Online shopping can feel like a chore if you’re not sure where to find the lowest prices on your favorite items. The key to finding the lowest prices online is making sure that you shop only on sites that advertise companies that are well known because they tend to sell high-quality products. The following are a few tips to follow when shopping for the best values online.
1. Avoid sites where the prices seem extremely low. The old adage is true: if it’s too good to be true, it probably is.
2. Ignore unsolicited email messages. Never click onto an unsolicited message, no matter how good the offer is. If this type of message contains a virus and you click onto it, this may harm your computer.
3. Never reveal your password or other personal information to anyone. In addition, never respond to e-mails that ask for social security numbers, date of birth or your credit card number.
Most retail businesses legitimately aim to offer the lowest prices online. However, one would be remiss not to do research before shopping. There are times when a price online doesn’t match a price of an item in the store. The reality is the pricing in the store can differ from prices online.
Many times retail managers will tell you the store doesn’t honor the online pricing or advertisements from outside competitors of the local trade territory of a store. Thus, one should be aware prices on a particular website are solely online prices.
Whether one wants jewelry, pharmaceuticals, hardware, clothing, baby products and toys or electronics, the products advertised in the retail stores are likely to have different pricing than what’s advertised online. Will Best Buy price match items that are on sale "online only"?
I know that they'll price match anything on their website but what if the sale is exclusive to the website only? Will they match the price as well?
This is a mixed answer that varies from store to store. At my first store, they would because they like to keep customers happy. At my new store, they won't. If you put up enough of a stink, I would bet they would... but they'd grumble at you as you walk away. The best way I can advise you to get a BBY rep to work with you is to be nice as you can possibly be and tell them that you REALLY don't want to pay for shipping from online and you'd rather just have it right now and if they could just match it for you in store that it would make your life.
It would work on me. I LOVE nice customers and would bend over backwards for them, rather than for the snots. 
Though the snots get their way more often than I'd like to adnit... lol.
